The National Youth Council-YEP Sector Development Grant provides funding support for organisations to initiate and implement programmes and initiatives that benefit the International Volunteerism (IV) Sector as a whole as well as the YEP community.
The initiatives should strengthen and build the competencies and capacities of the IV Sector and YEP community in planning and organizing local and overseas service learning projects.
These initiatives can include the following:
Tools, Resources and Training Curriculum development for YEP organisers, leaders and participants e.g. training materials, resource guides, handbooks and manuals;
Mentoring initiatives, training and capability development programmes targeted at YEP practitioners and youth participants e.g. developmental programmes to enhance learning and build capabilities of the YEP community and/or youths in planning and carrying out local and international service-learning projects, Emergency and Risk Assessment Training for YEP leaders and participants etc;
Platforms for networking, learning and sharing between IV organisations/ practitioners e.g. Conferences, Workshops, Sharing Sessions and Gatherings of Interest Groups (looking into areas such as Health Care, Aged, Education, Environment, Social Enterprise, Special Needs etc); and
Any other relevant initiatives that can strengthen and build the competencies and capacities of the IV Sector and YEP community.
