YEP provides a separate funding for persons who want to take up leadership in a team. The grant is available for leaders of YEP teams to enroll in NYC-YEP courses on leadership and facilitation skills to enhance safety and learning aspects of a team. YEP covers the full training cost of NYC-YEP leadership course, capped at $600 per leader. The amount will be reimbursed to teams when project is approved.
Each YEP team requires at least 2 persons (including at least one leader) to hold a valid standard/basic First Aid certificate.
With effect from 1 Jan 2009, YEP will co-fund basic first aid training for 2 individuals in the team, capped at $50 person
Leaders can further enhance their skills by attending the basic Cardiac Life/Heart Saver/CPR/Lifesaving/Life Support course. It is not a requirement for YEP leaders to attend the basic Cardiac Life/Heart Saver/CPR/Lifesaving/Life Support course.
